There’s always time for self-Learn
The self-Learn team is celebrating… we are one year old! We are pleased to inform you that the curriculum, structured in 3 Pillars: I. Reading Comprehension, II. Numeracy and III. Digital Skills, as well as the associated training content, has been completed and translated into the partnership languages.
The training materials for these three pillars are structured in two levels of difficulty (according to PIAAC measures):
| I. Reading Comprehension | II. Numeracy | III. Digital Skills | |
| LEVEL 1 | Simple texts and simple exercises aimed at providing the user with the knowledge and skills to recognize basic vocabulary, determine the meaning of sentences and read paragraphs of text. | Practice of everyday situations by counting, ordering, performing basic arithmetic operations, understanding simple percentages and identifying elements of simple graphical or spatial representations. | Electronic identification, photo and video editing, copyright, searching for information on the internet, secure passwords, parental control etc |
| LEVEL 2 | Integrate two or more pieces of information according to criteria, compare and reason about the information requested in the question and identify information in different parts of a document. | Calculations with whole numbers and decimals, percentages and common fractions; simple measurements and spatial representations; estimations and interpretation of data and statistics are introduced. | How to protect digital devices, reliability of information sources, online shopping, transport Apps, Google Maps, Wi-Fi network, social networks etc. |
In order for the user to know which level (Level 1 or 2) corresponds to her/him, a test is available to assess his/her level of ability. Once they have completed the training at the corresponding level, they can also evaluate the knowledge acquired and the level of understanding by means of an easy and simple test.
self-Learn training is available on the project platform www.self-Learn.eu and on the mobile Android and iOS devices:

During the learning process, users may have problems downloading, starting and/or using the application, so we have developed a GUIDE for family members and/or close friends to help low-skilled adults in their educational journey and keep them motivated.
